
Tania and Stacy are co-authors of Positive Classroom Communities (Heinemann, 2026), which they wrote to provide teachers with practical and accessible ways to incorporate social and emotional learning into their classrooms. They are both experienced teachers and have worked in multiple educational settings.
Tania Campanelli is from Montreal, Canada. She received a Bachelor of Education from McGill University and taught in Montreal before moving to Burlington, Vermont. She completed a Master of Education with a specialty in Trauma-Informed Education and Mindfulness for Educators. She has spent many summers teaching French and English in Switzerland and is currently teaching at The Carol Morgan School in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Dr. Stacy Simonyi holds multiple degrees in education with specializations in literacy instruction. She has been an educator in various positions and settings since 2005 and is currently an assistant professor at Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont, where she teaches multiple courses, including child development and trauma-informed educational practices.
